I love this new phenomenon that has developed. Palestinians and their
supporters, who deny the Holocaust happened. They demand sympathy for their
plight and remembrance of their "Nachba", yet they deny the persecution of
the Jews and the suffering the Jews have experienced for 2,000 years. If
the Palestinians can deny the reality of the Jew's suffering, then the
Israelis have the right to deny the reality of the Palestinians suffering.
Its that simple.

Its legit to claim that some Israelis and some Jews manipulate Holocaust
guilt to get support for Israel, but to suggest that the Holocaust didnt
happen, is beyond the pale. It will achieve nothing for the Palestinians
and set them backwards in world opinion, not forward.

Well, the fact is that the Jews don't deny the suffering of the
Arabs. And all this is not a "new" phenomenon. I think the PhD thesis
of the current head of PA Abu Mazen, many years ago, included Holocaust
denial.

And if you think that denying suffering of other people can hurt you,
look what happened with Turks. For the last 90 years they deny the
Armenian Holocaust (1.5 millions killed in 1915), and nothing happened.
What some people say is that there might be INTERNAL reason for the
Turks to recognize the Armenian Holocaust, and this might also be true
for the Arabs.
The Arabs have a similar problem to that of the Turks - some very
important Arab political figures, like the mufti of Jerusalem,
supported the Nazies and demanded extermination of the Jews. Later,
Arafat and many others claimed that simply killing Jews is good for the
Palestinian struggle. It seems that many Arabs, including Abu Mazen,
still support this. They just think that they can only kill a couple of
hundred Jews every year.
The problem of a society based on killing is that it creates a cult
of death. The cult of death was a part of Nazi ideology, and it exists
for many Christian and Muslim sects and other closely knit groups of
fighters, like the Japanese samurai, Nordic fighters, Muslim Assassins,
the Templairs etc.
I believe that the Arabs will grow up and eliminate this cult of
death, but this will take a lot of time. The usual Darwinian
elimination would work in this case. Even now, most of the people who
talk about killing the Jews wouldn't endanger themselves doing this.

You can see what happened with other struggles between neightbours -
the Greeks started their fight with the Turks at least 300 years ago,
and only now they have normal relations. Our fight with the Arabs is
only 100-120 years old. I think we can have peace with the Arabs in
less time, after only 200 years of war. Let's hope that in 2090 this
war will end.
