I have been looking at some holocaust denial websites and have found
something very common, amusing, but yet pathetic.
one of their arguments that 6 million jews werent killed is that...6
million jews didnt even exist in europe before ww2. how do they come to
these conclusions? by quoting miniscule and unreliable statistical data.
even the nazis themselves estimated 11 million jews in europe.
another thing they do is cite population figures from before and after the
war, from different sources and compare the two to counter the 6 million
figure. they cite encyclopedia A, which states the world jewish population
before ww2 at 13 million, and then article B, which states post-war jewish
numbers at 12 million. at first glance, that would suggest only 1 million
jews died. but if you compare the jewish population figures of pre- and
post war world, from the same source, you always find a loss in and around 5
million or more. only by mixing and matching statistics can they argue that
population numbers dont account for 6 million missing jews. i majored in
geography, and even I understand the stupidity in what they are doing. its
pretty sad and pathetic.
