for more then 50 years the arabs have been spreading the complete lie that
israel forced out 800,000 arabs during the 1948 war. the fact is the arabs
were told by their leaders to get out of the way so that the arab armies
could easily destroy the jews and then everyone could come home. the arabs
packed their things and moved out of the way, expecting an easy victory
(since jews cant fight).
another lie, a more important one, is that the arabs have lived in palestine
for centuries, even millenia. the fact is that during the ottoman rule,
palestine was a shitty little country...as described by mark twain. very
few arabs lived there. only after the jews started immigrating and reving
up the economy did arabs start to immigrate to palestine from other areas.
had the jews not moved in, palestine would still only have a few hundred
thousand arabs today. plus, the jews were the majority in jerusalem as
early as the 1880's.
