the neo-cons and the loony leftists are very similar in their psychosis.
the neo-cons believe that the muslem/arab world is just waiting for the
benevolent west to come invade them and give them democracy and freedom.
even with the never ending insurgency in iraq, fought mostly by sunni
iraqis, the neo-cons still think it might work better in syria, iran, egypt,
saudi arabia, jordan, etc.
the loony leftists believe that if the american troops left iraq tomorrow,
all would be happy in iraq. sunnis, shiites, and kurds would get together
and form a happy nation. the only thing that is impeading happyness and joy
in iraq, is america's presence. even though the great majority of the
targets and casualties in iraq are other iraqis, the loony left seems to
ignore this fact. americans leave..all will be well.
the loony left and the neo-cons are clearly both delusional. they believe
in a utopian world where things are black and white. neither side seems to
have a clear understanding of the region or modern day politics.
